The Rhythm of the Ocean

Grateful day, everyone. BJ here.

There’s a natural rhythm to the ocean, much like there’s a rhythm to music. Every dive feels like a dance with the water. The currents, the waves, even the silence, all have their own flow. Being in sync with that rhythm brings a sense of unity and peace. It reminds me of the power and grace that exists when you let go and move with the flow of life.

When I’m freediving, I become attuned to the subtle movements of the water around me. Just like a musical performance, it’s all about timing, flow, and feeling. I’ve learned that fighting against the current or rushing through a dive only leads to frustration. The key is to surrender to the rhythm and trust that the water will guide you.

The ocean’s rhythm is a constant reminder to trust in the process, both in diving and in life. It’s about letting go of control and allowing yourself to move with the natural flow. Whether I’m on stage or underwater, I’m always trying to find that balance between effort and ease, and the ocean teaches me that every time I dive.
